As of today, 29th August 2025, ALL orders to the USA are subject to tariffs.
Tariffs (or duties) are a tax charged on imports and usually passed on to the consumer in the form of higher prices. So these tariffs are an extra tax on US consumers.
The tariff for importing goods (such as our products) from the UK to the US is 10%. This will be added to the cost of all orders being shipped from the UK to the US. Royal Mail will be collecting the tariff on our behalf and remitting it to the US government. Royal Mail will also be charging a handling fee of 50p (around 70c) per order. This will be added on to the total tariff and displayed to you at checkout. You’ll know the total tariff charged + handling fee before paying at checkout.
Using this system, there will be no further charges to pay once the item is delivered.
Just to make it clear, we will not be making anything out of this. We will not use it as an opportunity to profiteer. The 10% tariff you pay at checkout will go via Royal Mail to the US government when we purchase your shipping label, and Royal Mail will keep the 50p handling fee.
We will figure out how all this is to be done in early September and hope to be able to reinstate shipping to the US by mid-September. This is all very short notice due to the executive order bringing forward the end of the de minimis exemption from 2027 to 2025. So there has been next to no time to prepare for this.
We will post another update once the US tariffs are incorporated into our website and provide more information then.
